48 new Camaros on the lot? Not one guard, even once an hour?
Something wicked this way comes.
I've seen contractors hire 24 hour guards for a spool of fiber optic cable.

And, of course, the price is inflated.
Maybe the owner's ex-brother-in-laws friend of a friend sold them the insurance.

Next week, Corvettes.

The quarter of a million probably includes the time the cars will be sitting waiting for the tires, the time the employees will need to spend mounting the tires and possibly an inspection for any damage to the car. I wonder if the cars can be sold as new still?

Have you seen the rims the base 4 cylinder comes with?

The retail price for some of the wheels are more than you think and that is what it would cost to replace them...retail.

Pretty sure they're just saying they took the wheels off the base model V6 Camaros also, and didn't just target the higher-end ones.

A lot of assumptions in some of the posts in this thread. They hit ALL kinds of vehicles at the dealership, not just Camaros. Same thing happened at the Tyler Cadillac dealership in 2014. The local news reports mentioned the same type of theft has happened at dealers in Austin, Dallas, etc in the recent past. The scumbags show up with several people, brought a Penske box truck with them, and took up to 4 hours to steal the wheels. With this occurring several times in the last few years across the state, doubtful its an inside job at the local dealership. Won't be looking for a new Camaro from Peltier!!

Nailed it. This is a traveling, well organized group that moves through the state.

This is not the first time this has happened in Texas.

We are literally a hub for so many forms of illegal activities. It really sucks that things like this can happen in such large scales, that our local communities have to be on constant alert for our personal protection and safe keeping of our property.
