Yeah maybe concrete is a better solution, thoughts?

Awesome!! I learned a long time ago, those "quick fix" additives just make matters WORSE in the long run. Take your time and always do it right the first time. These cars deserve to be DONE RIGHT!!

I just did my lifters and took the heads off of course and I think it could be done on a long day. I took my time and did it over two days though mainly because of bad knees and back. As long as you get all the parts you need together ahead of time you should be ok. I would also invest in some arp head bolts so you don't have to mess with that torque to yeld crap. Yeah it's way more easier than you think.

Yea, I'm thinking about swapping out my lifters and installing the Johnson link bars in my engine, but I was told I will also need new PR's because they are shorter than the LS7's I have now. Not sure if I really want to do all that as she runs great now with very little valve train noise now and can handle 7500 rpm already..

One thing I noticed on the gm performance racing versions was I couldn't even push the plunger in at all on them and that was with them not even being primed. So I think they are a lot more heavy duty then the regular gm performance ones. I just feel a lot better about high rpm revving now with them in there because before I felt like I had to take an easy on them but now I'm like go for it! I just feel confident in my valve train now. Now if I just get my transmission tune down I'll be good. lol.

Cool. So far, knock on wood, I haven't had any issues with them. I'm not sure exactly which lifters I have, the tuner/builder could only tell me that they were the Delphi LS7 lifters, and I do push the limits a lot when I'm out for a spirited drive.. Good luck with your trans, it is nice to have it function properly, mine could use a bit of tweaking itself, but she does operate pretty well now with the big converter.
