NYIAS: More Red ZL1 pictures

There can never be too many, right?

Regrettably, the silver convertible was not there on Saturday...it seems like they displayed it for the reveal and press day, only. :(

Enjoy!

It's neat to see the engine cutaway. Can you see anything under the larger Camaro lid that may be different like larger intercoolers?

No "Camaro-lid" version of the LT4 was on display...just that one in the Caddy display.

The view of the front fender from behind the passenger door does seem to show a more pronounced flair in the fender over the tire than on the SS. Is that just me or does anyone else see that?

Has anyone seen a solid shot of the hood vent's underside in the engine bay? I saw one profile shot in another thread but the contour of the underside was hard to see.

I'm curious if the under piece is just a line over the blower snout and pulley or if there's an extension to help pickup waste heat from the TriY as well as help with frontal area air venting after it passes the nose vents.

Yeah, I did too. A lot of people have been questioning the legitimacy of the wider front fenders because it's hard to tell from the front or side...but when looking forward from the rear, it's pretty obvious they're wider.

It's just a drip tray with some holes in it covering the length of the vent.

It's removable with a few bolts for track days.

With the engine bay as sealed up as it is thanks to the aerodynamic changes...the heat extractor hood vent is the path of least resistance, so much of the air/heat that enters through the front will blow out there, anyways.

Ok, so then this is just a modified and evolved version of the Gen5 HE Vents then that evacuate heat and also help with frontal area and resistance by creating the pass-thru.

Pretty much. It seems to be the most aggressive design, so far.

Just a generic question about appearance. I've seen the 6th Gen Camaro SS in person and while I think it looks ok, I'm not a huge fan. But I wasn't a huge fan of the standard Gen 5 SS and I love the ZL1 look because of how aggressive it is. Pictures are one thing, and I think it looks really nice, but how aggressive does it look compared to an SS? Or even a 1LE?

I like the look of the SS. Very sharp, lithe, aggressive...and the 1LE package helps increase that "aggressiveness" factor of the SS's appearance.

The ZL1's design is on another level altogether. It looks pissed off from every angle.
