the main purpose of the hoodliner is to protect from an engine fire. in other words the hoodliner is flame retardant. The paint used for graphix will last a looooong time under the hood even when it rains. Iv had custom painted liners under my vette and my silverado for years with no issues. They look good and really add points at shows.
~if you really wanted to be safe you cud take it off and put it on for shows...but not necessary.

I still need to switch my engine cover back to the TrueFlame Blue, but here's the hoodliner in place after getting home from Houston. Thanks adamDallas, I'm happy as hell with it

Maybe some blue or red led lights for eyes would be really cool!
