Confirmed..Comp Cams no blanks for Camaro

My car goes to the shop August 2nd for cam, headers, tune, etc.
The shop is calling for a Comp Cam,single bolt, custom grind (no specs as of yet either) to be installed in my LS3.
I had read that Comp Cams had no blanks for the Camaro so I decided to give them a call and find out first hand how true this is.
Gentleman at Comp says they have no blanks for the Camaro at this time and he is not showing any estimated arrival date for them. It could be days or weeks. He suggested I call back in a few weeks to see if they had come in and not to take the Camaro in if they don't have blanks for the grind.
So,here I sit, wondering if the shop will have the cam for my car by August 2nd.
I can not just take the car down there (three hours away) and leave it for an indefinite time waiting for the cam as this is being installed on our one week vacation time which is not changeable.
Also,I am not really interested in a three bolt as a one bolt will come out and a one bolt back in.

This post is meant more to give you a heads up on Comp Cams status than sound like a rant

I would like to know why as well. I was under the opinion that the 3 bolt conversion was just a big hassel with very little (to no) benefit with the motor's in the 5th gen.

I got my cam from thunder racing and it is nasty, it's split pattern for a blower but it will still give you the bracket car lope. Don't know if you checked this option yet, here's a video for your reference if the shop doesn't get your blank in time:

Sorry for the poor quality it was taken on an iphone

It is because the single bolt comp cams seem to be on back order and the 3-bolt cams are readily available now.

I was wondering why a 3 bolt would "save you a headache in the end". To me, that implies the 3 bolt is preferable to a 1 bolt.

in a way it is... because they have them in stock you wont have to wait a month to get your cam... unless you want your car to take an extra month. there is no power gain or ease of installation over a single bolt it just makes it quicker for you to get your car back.

I agree 100%. We use 3 bolts on every car we do.

I convert ALL L92/LS3 engines to 3 bolt. The cam gear is $20 and you can get the camshaft within a week. Completely deletes this headache forever.

Three bolt cams pose no issues other than swapping out the Cam gear.

We have decided to go three bolt. Cam specs are 227/234 112.25 Can anyone decipher these specs and tell me are we looking at an all around good cam for the power band/torque and will it have a nice lope to it?
