1. The video of the car on the track doesn't have a piece of hardware on the dash and it looks clean.
2. The still pictures of the car in the garage show the extra hardware on the dash.

Granted, this HW looks like test gear but the pictures make it look like the HW is integrated into the dash.

Are we looking at two different cars here or just the removal of test equipment when the track run started?
Does it really matter at the end of the day? GM isn't going to risk putting up a fake time only to be called out on it later. I'm sure whatever car it was they are sure they can equal or better it in the production version. Next thing you know people will be saying the moon landing was shot in a studio!

Watching the video makes my heart race. I can't imagine what it would be like to drive on that course in real life...

on my bucket list though! I hope I get stationed in Germany sometime soon!

Awesome video. It reminds me of playing Gran Torismo. That is a hard course to drive in the game, a lot of turns and elevation changes,I could imagine how hard it is in real life.:res pekt:

Shifter sure seemed slick and short. Granted, didn't see him in the lower gears. Doesn't the ZL1 come with a short shifter but not the Hurst?

any chance a better suspension could get the zl1 or a supercharged camaro into gtr territory?

This thread pisses me off, I had pretty much come to grips with the fact that I wasn't going to wind up pursuing the ZL1 and just be satisfied with a nicely modded Pontiac G8 GXP, now I go and watch this and son of a beyotch, sucked right back into the ZL1 vortex...

Congratulations GM, a 4000lb car that took 18 seconds off the their other 4000lb car the CTS V at "hopefully" $15k-$20k less out the door.

Man, if they would bring the next version of the Holden Sedan over here from the Aussies with this kind of power plant, drivetrain, and suspension on this same platform I'd be golden.....
