Question What is the $500 LPO Illuminated Footwell option, exactly?

Would anyone care to elaborate who has it?

I have it ordered on my 2012, but I now realize that I honestly don't know what it is. The dealer website doesn't have pictures, and even Google is at a loss.

I would imagine that at nearly $500 it better be damn fancy (and include the cupholders too), but I'm hoping one of you has it on their car and would like to share pictures or at least a description.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide....

I would also like to know the answer to Tech Sgt. Davis's question. I have never seen any Camaro on here with footwell lighting or cup holder lighting that wasn't a custom job. Does anyone have these factory installed? If so, I'd like to get it on mine, as well. Pics, anyone?

What? Courtesy lights are a $500 option? From the descriptions, I have them in the footwells on my T/A, granted, they can't change color, but that's a novelty anyway.

I believe it comes already installed on the Synergy edition cars. It is a factory option deal.

I installed this with 2SSRS's help. It is Footwell and Cupholder lighting, you have 4 settings, 1. Blue Dim, 2. Blue Bright, 3. Red Dim, 4. Red Bright. I got this from Patrick at GM Parts House for I believe $310.00. Other then drilling 3 holes it was completely plug and play.

Walt B.

P.S. There is a 5th setting I forgot to mention, went this 5th selection is made the led's cycle thru the 4 differrent settings in both the Footwells and the cupholders, looks pretty cool at night.

That's fantastic.

Thanks CoolBreeze; I guess it was a little pricey, and I got carried away with the ordering, but at least it's a decently neat factory option, with a couple of settings.

I'm thinking the Blue lights will clash nicely with the Victory Red...

I have it on the Synergy Series, it gives you two colors, a blue or red and each color has two intensities. Both cup holders have an LED in them and driver and passenger footwell. All four are on at the same time. The switch is installed on the driver side of the rear cupholder.
Here is a pic, its quite bad because its from my phone but you can see the glow from the cupholders and footwells

Great! Thank you for the pic and info.

But also, what about those attractive door light strips? A mod you installed yourself? Standard in all Camaros? Or just 2LT/2SS versions?

The door ambient lighting is standard in 2LT/2SS models I believe. As long as it has the plastic paneling.

I have been told, but not seen the door lighting is on the grey interior but typically blue. I have the 2011 Synergy Series which came with red. I believe the Orange interior comes with a red as well
