A Z vs a Camaro on stock suspension is not a drivers race, it is more a race in which the hands of God controls the SS in order to keep up with the Z. Stock SS suspension is rubbish.

I've race an STi with just CB, CAI, and Tune and that wus a close race.
STI could'nt have been stock then. Stock STI doesn't stand a chance against me. I honestly see the 370Z being faster than the STI up top. And also the Z 6 isn't bad on torque either.

He mentioned the STi had light mods (and tuned).
But you are right. STi's are pretty slow on the top end when they are stock. They can barely out run a stock V6 Accord above 80 mph.

STis are all about the launch. They can run some good 1/4 mile times due to their AWD launch. Take away their AWD launch and they are considerably slower than a Camaro SS.

Having driven both cars in daily driving, auto-x, drag, and hwy fun I can say that down low the Camaro feels stronger. At cruising speeds and especially at triple digits the Z feels stronger. We didn't do a standing start because both of us are at the point where tires need to be replaced to traction is a big issue. Rolling starts take that out of the equation. Obviously the Z kills the Camaro in auto-x. usually the Z pulls 2sec faster on most auto-x courses.
How convenient of you to chime in while having access to both cars, the names of both cars in your user name and only 4 posts (:

Oh I thought he meant his SS had CB and intake and dune. Funny though remember when they first came out and Suburu kept bragging how they were as fast as Ferrari, NSX, and other exotic from 0-60. I then drove one and it was hard to get an 05 Celica gt off my tail up to 50 mph.

So for bench racing purposes here... Maro wins,
you mean lb/bhp

9.3bhp/lb= 37200hp lol

Stock vs Stock the Camaro will sh*t on the Z all day everyday!

Whether you want to admit it or not, the Z is a badass car, that is basically a drivers race for the most part.

This time is about what most SS's are going to run. Id call it 99 percent are going to be at this time or slower.

If Camaro owners want to call it a drivers race with a 5.0, then the Z is a drivers race with the SS.

That Mustang is the 4.6. not the 5.0. the New V6 Mustangs are faster than those 4.6 GT's.

The 5.0 is faster than the SS modded or stock. I can't argue that. I have proven that many times already. My car makes about 500hp at the crank and Ive raced 5.0's with just CB and CAI and as fast as my SS.

But the Z is not even close to a drivers race to the SS. its just simply a slower car than the SS.

and don't get me wrong, I don't hate the Z specially the NISMO ones. actually considering one or an STi to trade my SS for.

There is plenty of evidence showing Z's as low 13 second cars. Same as SS's, short of a few hero runs which the Z fast list has them too.

They are a drivers race. Its not a raping as you put it.

Well I have yet to met a Z that can hang with the SS. Ive raced a bunch of them already and the only Z that have ever beat me wus a built TT 350z. that Z wus making somewhere north of 700whp.

the Z your talking about running 13's stock? The ones Ive seen on the track runs mid 14's stock.

The Camaro with the right driver on a perfect day will run mid 12's stock.

Yeah maybe mid 14's at Thunder Valley with **** waterbox that you can't avoid, horrible DA, no traction, horrible driver, 100 degree night. A place where low 13 second cars run 14's and low 12 second cars run 13's. I ran best of 13.45 @ 104.7 at Tulsa and 14.125 103.8 at Thunder Valley.

Two problems with that "Stock" run you just posted.

1. That car isn't stock
2. That car isn't stock

Yes Z's pull 14's, 90 percent of the stocker SS's I see run high 13's and 14's.
