A guy tested the npp at full open at idle and 4000 rpm with a decibel reader as the ref station would. Read the max 95 dB. But that was in the garage where I suspect a echo could cause a louder reading. The chp uses 95 dB at 50 ft. I have what is in my sig. the 3” catback booms at low rpm, removed hiflow cats and put stock ones back in to be legal, and a little more quiet. Sounds good still and more liveable. Only lost 11 hp. To compare, with the hiflows on, at scca autocross events there is a 95 dB max and My car never hit that. They gave a meter set to make sure.
Now a cop hearing your car can be another thing. I felt best not to be noticed at all so not to get pulled over |
