Custom Engine Cover Medallion - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I got this in yesterday.

It is my custom machined V6 LLT RS Engine Cover Medallion. I wanted to do something unique to the engine compartment without going overboard and making it look like a ricer or anything. So I designed this up a couple weeks ago and sent the file out to get custom machined. I ended up sending it over to China as the cost was dirt cheap for a one shot job, “Sorry no production on this one”!!! It isn’t finished yet. It along with the engine cover is off to get painted. Still debating on how exactly I am going to paint the engine cover, however the colors that I will be using will be Midnight Silver (The same as the RS Wheels), Red Jewel Tint coat and Black.

Very nice, Teccboxx, and unique too. What material is it? Looks white, not silver - aluminum?

Just finished answering all the PM'S so to give the information out to everyone here is the breakdown.

The part shown is made out of a High Heat, High Impact ABS Plastic.

I went through a Rapid Product Development Firm that makes sample parts for the manufacturing community. I use them a lot in my job.

As far as the design of the part it is something that I modelled after the Concept steering wheel, and wanted to make it true to that form and not the cheap knock offs like the gas caps that are floating around. The detail is top notch. Every surface has a slight curve and virtually no flats including the lettering. This part was machined a a 5-Axis machine to help eliminate fillets and give most of the features nice sharp edges.

Now with that said comes the big question on price, and I know that everyone is going to freak out because it is on the engine cover and you will not see it at all. However this is my baby and I am trying to make it as unique as possible with small touches here and there. So the price is:

$365

Edit:
Never thought of licensing issues so unfortunatly I cannot get these made.
