My opinion is while I don't personally want an A10 SS 1LE for myself, I do think it's great that GM will offer it to those who want it. The car's going to be a beast. It just will be. I could see it bettering say GT350R lap times even while being heavier, less powerful, and running less sticky tires than SC2's. Going off magazine posted times the manual is already pretty close. (like nipping on it heels and sometime equaling kind of close)

I just wish GM would put something like a 3.42 gear in the rearend. People are always saying Coyote + A10 > LT1 + A10, but they don't seem to understand that the 3.55 rear gear gives the Mustang a huge advantage over the Camaros rear gear and with 10 gears it's easy to keep the more peaky, topend oriented Coyote in its powerband.

I always thought if i had a A10. I would swap out the rear end gears with 3.73 from the 6sp manual cars. They would be great off the line.

Getting ready place an order on a 2022 1LE, in terms of duaribility, will the A10 handle more power than the Tremec?

Down the road I'm likely to add boost.

Test drove a 2017 1LE earlier today and I'm sold on a 6 gen.

Chevy puts both transmissions behind the ZL1, so it would seem that either is capable of dealing with significant boost.

Actually, the 10 speed in the ZL1 is a beefed up version versus the 10 speed in the SS.

ZL1- 10L90E
SS- 10L80E

“ GM Hydra-Matic 10-Speed Automatic Transmission”

General Motors’ series of Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic transmissions, internally referred to as 10LXX, was developed for use in rear-wheel-drive or rear-biased all-wheel-drive vehicles.

The 10LXX moniker is decoded as follows:

10, for 10 forward gears
L, for longitudinal placement within the vehicle’s powertrain system
90, for the unit’s robustness (a higher number, such as 90, means that it is capable of handling more power compared to a 10L45)

Do we know the differences between the 80E vs the 90E?

Is it possible to upgrade the 80E to 90E specs or is the case or something major different?
