I hate to say it but these "I'm young and own a Camaro" threads really drive me crazy. It seems like a new one pops up every week and they're all the same.

I'm 21, use to drive a Cobalt but some lady T-Boned me and she totaled my car. I used the money I got payed for my car as a down payment ($8500), and now I am paying off the rest and all other expenses.

If it wasn't because of the accident I wouldn't be the owner of a Camaro (didn't have enough $). So I guess I kinda consider the accident to be a good thing although I miss my cobalt and all the hard work I put into it. I also miss having a roof rack for my mountain bikes. :(

I'm 22, been working since 16 as an Electrician. Got my Trade Qualification in April and bought my Camaro in May with $16000 down payment and the rest on a line of credit through my house

Saved up about 8k for downpayment. Parents bought it as a gift for following though with their expectations.
So I didn't pay for the car myself. But I love my car and treat it like gold!
Anyways I pay about $80-100 a week on gas and $550 a month for insurance. And that's with a clear record and all the discounts. It's actually pretty good in comparison to the average insurance rate here
So I'm spending about a grand a month just onthe car let alone University and other things
HOLY SH$t! $550 a month? Really? I around $560 every 6 months for my 07 Mustang.

I bought parts and he worked on it for me to save cash. Everyone's situation is different I suppose. Via, education and good luck and God, ive been able to buy a new car for once instead of second hand. It was nice to get the title in the mail. When I bought my 2011 SS I financed it for low payments and 0% APR since I put 20k down, and then financed the other 17k (in between school joined the military for 5 years), since paid off. Yea I spent more than what you might spend on it down the road, so what, I can afford it. 3 years from now I would have had my camaro for almost 4 years. Im not bitter, its just really early here, lol. Sorry for the rant. Where am I? WTF is going on?
lol used to be a mustang guy and changed? I LOVE Mustangs... There 4.6 is just to under powered compared to my ls1. I would still love to have one though. But don't wanna pay the avg price of 16grand for an 07 or something

Flame suit on!
why not trade in the other SS for the ZL1 instead of having 2 of the same car?

They live with mom and dad, don't pay for their cell phones, health insurance, or anything BUT the car. If I could take the amount of money I spent very month on other bills too I could own a brand new Corvette ZR1.

I bought my cars with cash, on my own, living on my own - the Vette was an inheritance, but I've paid for everything that went into her. My first car that had a year start with 2 instead of 19 is my current car, my Mazda 3 (2010).

I have to call BS on some of this too.

The real question is... how many of you are under 21, LIVING ALONE and FULLY supporting yourself with NO help from anyone? To you guys that own Camaros, I give you props... and what the hell do you do for a living?
