Hey guys, I know the answer is out there somewhere but I can’t find a straight answer, so maybe someone here can help.

I wanna install the NPP exhaust on my 2SS, but I would have no way to control the valves. I plan on doing a cam and LTs so I would like to have the control over the valves. I’m really only interested in the look of the dual tips, so if anyone knows of a pretty decently quiet dual tip set of mufflers, I’d be interested in that too, I can always run my own electric cutouts. I’ve heard of the Mild2Wild, I just don’t know if that will work on my car or if I’d need to run a vacuum source as well, instead of it just being a bolt on. No big issue, just can’t get a straight answer from anyone. Or if there is another way of controlling it? The Mild2Wild seems like the best and easiest option, like I said, just don’t know if it will work on my car

Get a set of Noweeds; they're as much fun as beer or shooting. Plus, you can take 'em off and fit 'em to the next car you get. Three settings, all controlled from the seat. Almost as much fun as the blower.

Definitely was looking into a set of noweeds cutouts, but I still want the dual tips, so it’d be nice to be able to have the valves work and save $900. I guess I could just run them with the valves not hooked up and closed lol.

So you need to find the exhaust obliviously, then you’ll need a 1LE diffuser, and now go to the DIY section and there’s a thread there on how to make you own system out of after market parts and a mild to wild switch. Biggest expense will be the vacuum reservoir and the mild to mild switch.

Yep, tracking on the 1LE diffuser and exhaust. I checked out the link, and from what I gather it wouldn’t give me total control over the valves, I would only have control on whether the valves open with engine load or they stay open all the time. Was more looking for an either always open or always closed method.

I found exactly what I’m looking for, but it’s for cars that came with the NPP.. So far no solutions for me besides hooking it up to vacuum and basically running it like factory. I could always have a exhaust shop cut out the vacuum operated valve and weld in a electric cutout. That’s probably the simplest route for me.

I pulled the fuse on my NPP exhaust which opens the valve full time, just an idea but maybe just install the system with the valves jammed open and see if you like it. Its far from loud, but without cam/lt's.

If not, then go into the trouble and expense of making the system open/close...

Yes there are dual tip mufflers that will give you the look.

The valves default open so no need to jam them open.

Yes I’m aware there air dual tip mufflers lol.. was seeing if anyone had any recommendations for any mufflers that are more on the quiet side lol, which I know is hard to find, but you never know

You can wire them closed all the time if you just want it quite.

They’d need a constant vacuum source correct? Say if I ran a vacuum line to the intake manifold the vacuum would make the valves actuate based on the amount of vacuum its building depending on engine RPM. How could I wire them closed?
