that's nice. I'm not a country fan, which I'm assuming their target audience is, but acoustic guitar over electric is where it's at. Spanish guitar anyone? Also, has anyone heard metal bands play accoustic versions of their songs? Zakk Wylde has done a few and their amazing, some even better than the electric counterpart.

Interesting bundle, but be warned that Esteban guitars seem to have hit or miss quality control. Apparently some people have bought this package and have received a guitar with "AMARO" down the fretboard because the "C" fell off. The overall quality seems questionable, as well.

If you order it, just know that you're probably getting what you pay for. And, for what it's worth, guitars are rarely ever sold for MSRP. For example, my ESP Eclipse II retails for $1899 and you can buy it for about $1100. Don't ask me why, that's just how it is.

Exactly. I've played this guitar (David Hamburger of SLP brought one to Indy in Sept) and it is definitely more of a conversation piece/ promotional piece than a serious instrument.
If you're looking for a very interesting guitar because of what's on it, then sure - go ahead and get one... but if you want a good acoustic guitar with onboard electronics, my suggestion would be to save the money you'd spend on this and put it towards a serious guitar.

Best regardSS,

Elie

As a guitar player, I would never buy this (or any Esteban guitar). As a Camaro fan who plays guitar, I would consider it. Anyone who tries to tell you a $200 guitar is just as good as his $20,000 (give or take 5k) classic guitar is full of sh%^ even if he did take master classes with Andrés Segovia. Would be good for a beginner though. But most any POS is good when you are just starting.

I kinda laughed when my step father bought an Acoustic/Electric Esteban guitar (not the Camaro model), but I was actually really surprised how nice it was when I played it. It was definitely worth the money he paid for it. It appeared to be a quality guitar... nicer than other similarly priced ones for sure. Maybe he got lucky, but I was impressed by the quality of it.

Check the customer reviews at HSN.com. They're made in China, but all the guitars are actually decent to good quality. Amazing. But, HSN wants repeat customers, not one time customers. They do their own quality control on everything.

Not metal, but I do have accoustic versions of Nickelback: Someday, Staind: Been A While and Radiohead: Creep, just to name a few. Some of them are very good.

Back on thread tho, are the stripes on the Esteban painted or vinyl? Just had to ask.
