There’s an entire industry of driveshaft repair shops in the country. I know, they’ve kept me employed (and now retired) for 46 years. Roughly about 1500 of them in the USA. While not every one could provide a one piece replacement, the good ones have been figuring how to get around non serviceable drivelines for years.

On some level I get keeping it OE. Obviously, you get right back into the same boat you’re in though. The Driveshaft Shop is not the only source for Camaro driveshafts. Trust me!

Finding a good shop around where I live is nearly impossible right now. If there isn't an app for that, people seem to be too lazy to do stuff correctly. I am the third owner of this car now. When I fix it right with GM parts, it will last with me.

So I just searched that PN and see www.gmpartsdirect.com/ lets you add to the cart. Not sure if this means it is avail or not or if you have been here. Seems obvious so I assume you have been here.

I have a customer in Keene, NH called, Keene Driveline. (Jeff) I've never met him in person but he sounds like he has the shop and wherewithal to modify just about anything. Sounds very meticulous too. Good shops can bore and cut the yoke ears with the non serviceable u-joint to accept a new joint with inside snap rings. That way, it's still mostly OE. And now serviceable.

Maybe for another project.

Thank you. I am surprised that so many parts have become so hard to get for a car not even ten years old.

84823326 replaced 92244724. Maybe you can try searching the original number.

Will try that too. Thank You
Can't even buy the Guibo couplings anymore.
Still have the whole assembly on order from GM. Maybe they will build me one.

I might be able to find the old number. Why the part number change?

I’m still trying to figure out how a cheap OEM part built to a price point is “better” than a quality aftermarket part that is vastly superior in all regards?

Because it is OEM, lasted 86,000 miles, and I want it. My car stays GM if at all possible. Even if the part is made in China. I never said it was better lol.

That's fine until you can't find one. I rather have a new aftermarket that a used/wrecked OEM.

That makes no sense whatsoever. What's in your car right now?

There was a time when "the factory is god" was a saying. Some still think that way. GM does do a pretty good job stress testing their parts.

A known condition driveshaft. Of course if someone wants to give a me new aftermarket I would happily swap it out.
