Leo, I am also looking forward to your instructions being posted. I was late finding this thread and missed the group buy, but have since purchased the brackets on-line.

I had purchased all the Morimoto projector, and HID and halo upgrades some time ago, and have not installed anything as yet. These brackets will be much better design in mounting than I had originally planned.

Thank you so much for sharing.

What grits you go with? I usually 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000, then use Chemical Guys products.

I see you did that while on the car? How did you protect your fiberglass front bumper cover? Did you tape it off?

So if you look at the pic and zoom in you'll see a scuff mark by the headlight. That was due to me not taping it off. This happened when I was first learning how to do it and didn't even think about taping. But yes to answering your question I tape the are off with about 3 layers of blue painters tape. Links below to what I use

Chemical Guys BUFX_104HEX4 BUFX_104_HEX4 Hex-Logic Light-Medium Polishing Pad, White (4.5 Inch Pad made for 4 Inch backing plates), 1 Pad Included https://a.co/d/1Xsr8Ko

Chemical Guys BUFLC_BP_D2 Flex Pro Professional Backing Plate with Drill and Dual-Action Adapters (3.5 Inch), Yellow https://a.co/d/bbOuURa

I just re-read my post you quoted and noticed I made it seem like all I did was use sandpaper to get that clear. The 1st pic is the headlight sanded and the 2nd is after using V34, 36. My bad for misleading.

Sannding products are nothing special, I just grab the sandpaper from AutoZone - 1000, 1500, 2000, P3000. After I sand I use 3products from Chemical Guys. 2 are compounds V34 and V36. I use V36 first and then finish with V34. After that for protection I use Chemical Guys Jet Seal. Apply it, let it sit for about 30mins, wipe off.

V34 on Amazon https://a.co/d/awnXazK
V36 on Amazon https://a.co/d/e483lvW

They make two other compounds V32, V38 which I also have but never used. Apparently those are for headlights that are extremely bad.

Another pic of another car I did using the same products. Left side restored right side, well, yea...

I have V32-V38 im going to hit mine with all of them after an oxidation removal with a decent grit of sandpaper. I need my pads to come in first. After they are nice and close to clear, i am going to fully reseal the lense with a proper clear coat with UV resistance.
