EOM Retrofit Morimoto HID (possibly LED)

Hey all,

I have reached out to a company that makes a lot of retrofit HID mounts for vehicles, and while they don't have one for our cars yet, I have asked them since I have a complete HID torn down from a spare headlight, would they be interested in making them should there be enough interest and demand.

The answer is YES! Finally, we may have an option to retrofit proper 35w Bi-Xenon HID's into the 2010-2013 HID headlight assembly. This would be a direct fit, bracket would be shaped exactly to the OEM mounting holes. Morimoto 2.5" housings only accept 35w outputs. This would for the the Morimoto Micro D2S 5.0 Bi-Xenon housings (2.5" lens identical to OEM size) Just to clarify, This would replace our Lenses, and bowls for the reflectors. The Bracket would be the metal plate as pointed out (similar to the oem bracket that holds our factory one together in the headlight assembly)

This Thread is to gauge interest and see what can be done. I will update the next post with information regarding the buy-in for a group price discount should there be enough interest.

I got sick of crappy lighting even with diode dynamics D1S and new ballasts from GM.

Literally just did a retrofit with the Morimoto Micro D2s 5.0's a few weeks ago but made my own brackets. Went pretty smooth and the fitment came out perfect with the factory projector shroud. Only hard part was splitting the headlight with the factory perma-seal. What's the name of the company?

I removed my oem HID and was able to keep the housing complete (RS headlight) Custom brackets and design. They make a lot of brackets.

Suggest Bumping this every Friday and Saturday until get to 10. Also maybe change thread title to “EOM Retrofit Morimoto HID / LED” I think that would really attract interest.

Good idea. Im doing that now. Hopefully we get there. Id love to have proper projectors again and not cheap crap. The fog lights by morimoto already should be brighter than my oem HID
