2012 Key Recall Postcard

I have owned my 2012 SS Convertible over 12 years now and still get the key recall postcard. Anyone else keep getting it?

I get them all the time. I even signed a waiver at the dealership many years ago when having my Camaro serviced. Yet I still get those recall postcards in the mail for the stupid key fob recall. In fact I just got one the other day and threw it in my fire pit. I was told by the service advisor that they will just keep sending these post cards out no matter what.

Same here. I get two. I even got new key fobs so they could do the change on the dummy fobs, and I'd still keep my original keys. Then the dealership told me it was a waste of time and didn't want to do it. Didn't have to twist my arm. They told me they would probably keep sending them forever. I even get emails every now and then.

In fact, I got another pair just a few days ago. More trash filler.

Haven’t got one in years. It ended when I took it in for something and the dealer did it without asking me and then had to listen at me yelling at the rep till they found it and put it back together. I had already signed something saying I wanted to keep it.

Oh jeez so they took it upon themselves to do it without your permission? Wow! I wouldn't be going back there again and look for another dealership. Luckily I have three to choose from if the need arises.

Governed by the NHTSA, they’re sent out based on your vehicle state registration to insure the recall follows the car and not the owners. That’s why folks within used cars get the as well.

I still get them too. At one point I called GM and explained that I like the Switch Key and have no intensions of doing the recall. They said, "OK but we have to keep sending the recall notices." My response was, "I guess we'll be pen-pals."

I have a 2014 and still receive the post cards as well as e-mails. Funny thing while mine was in for service I asked the dealer to make me a new key and complete the recall notice. The dealer made another switch blade key . After that I gave up!
