Is this going to be tested on an L99 and LS3?
Yes, we are testing on the LS3 first. If all goes well, then we will get an L99 into the shop as well.

If you're just replacing the OEM cats with highflow ones, I don't see a problem with a CEL. Now doing that with LT's would be something many would be interested in.

Will this system bolt up to shorty headers like BBk's with your Mach X cat back system?

I just got your Mach X and am seriously considering shorty headers. If your hi flow cats would bolt up between the two I would be extremely interested.

If it works on the LS3, I'd bring my L99 up for the trip.

Steve --- great news, The mach XL is a superb piece of kit - 3500 miles on still brings a smile to my face every time i start her up....Matched nicely to an R2C performance CAI. I have been thinking about long tube headers and high flow CATS to bolt up to the Mach XL Catback. I will now wait for the CATS.....!!!

I assume these will bolt right up to a set of pacesetters (in my budget) and directly to the Solo Mach XL Catbacks i have installed....

They will be made to fit right in place of the stock cats...direct bolt on. If the shorty headers bolt up to the stock cats, then they will bolt up to our cats also.

However, the difference between the stock cats and high flow cats are probably totally different. My guess is that there is a chance of seeing some HP gain. The trick is going to be to get it to not throw a code and yet be resonably priced.

The ADM offroad downpipes (no cats) are supposed to be worth 18 rwhp but they need a tune. So....lets assume based on Jannetty's testing that if a high flow cat is about as effective as no cats then there is a chance you could see close to the same output as the ADM offroads. Again....get it to not throw a code and be reasonably priced and I'm in.

BTW: there was an exhaust Mfg (might have been Magnaflow) that did the same thing and showed it off at SEMA. The thing I didn't get with it is that they had two cats. You should only need one cat. Not only will the system be less expensive to produce but my guess would be more HP. I deleted my rear cat already and there are no codes or issues and it made my exhaust slightly louder. Only the first cat is being monitored by the system.

Can you please explain what you mean by needing only one cat and what is the rear cat that you are reffering to that you already removed?

On a LS3 car there are two cats a left and right, from the factory, so how can you only use one?

Oh boy....don't want to stir the hornets nest on this one again. I'll just post the thread...I think everyone's thoughts about the cats are in there somewhere.
