Shipping Question

HI, hopefully somebody on here can help me out. My car shipped on Thursday/Friday of last week. On Camaro tracking spreadsheet it was showing in transit, by truck. It showed that all weekend. Today I get on to check it and it is showing "In Transit" by Truck but is saying railyard. Does that mean that it was just delivered to the railyard to be put onto a train, or that it shipped by train over the weekend and is at the destination railyard and is out for delivery?

Mine has the same status. Presume its waiting for a truck or is already on a truck heading my way. I will call my dealer today for an update. Maybe someone on the forum has a better explanation.

Depends on early in transit it is. Usually picked up by truck from plant, taken stateside to railyard, then transported by train, where it will then be picked up by truck and taken to dealership

ok, for those of you in the same boat, IF you ordered stripes on your cars, that is why your car showed TRUCK first, as your cars are trucked to the striping facility. once they are done, then they will show RAIL ONCE THEY ARE LOADED and ready to start the journey to you, and it will show the rail car number. THEN the real tracking begins. and your cars are ON THE WAY HOME.

I don't have stripes ordered though. My car showed up as in transit, Truck, all weekend, but is now showing In Transit, Truck, Railyard. Does this mean that it hasn't even left the railyard yet or that it has arrived at the final railyard and is being delivered?

Our cars have already made the rail journey to their final rail destination and only need to be transported to the dealer for delivery to the customer = ctk1 and Sidewinder.

Call your dealer and ask him if it reached
rail ramp unload, that is when it goes from
train to truck. Mine sat in the yard 2 1/2 weeks
waiting to be loaded on a truck Mine was 8/2
was delivered to the dealer 8/4 to me 8/4
They have access to this info and any other
work book steps

Mine was trucked all the way, no rail. Showed in transit the whole time, then all of a sudden it said railyard. I was going nuts, couldn't understand why it said that.... 2hrs later, I got the call!!!!!!

That would be great. If you go to this link http://camarotracking.com/ I am about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom. Order# NHKJDP, and my username is CTK1. Is that the same thing that you order was showing when you got the call?

I went through basically the same thing. Sir Nuke, thanks for the info as it clears up why it flipped from rail to truck. This morning it flipped back to rail and it has a railcar number. Last week the dealer said the ETA was tomorrow, but I don't think it's going to make it.

How do you track the rail info via phone? I've called two different CSX numbers but can't figure out what info they want when they ask for the car's "initial".

Yes, that's what mine said. I posted a ? about it on that thread, was told not to worry, everything was ok. Then about 5:00 pm is when I got the call.
