Ditto... When 50 and above I got to 6th.

I use 6th gear above 75mph
The car takes on a drone as soon as you put it in 6th.
But that is where the gas mileage is.

I use it on highway when at steady speed above 60 MPH but good question.

You guys must love wasting gas. I'm in 6th by about 40 mph.

w/o 6th I'd be in the single digit mpgs on the Autobahn. Above 150mph this thing drinks like a fish... and you still can have one heck of an educated conversion at this speed without screaming at each other

But, yes. Most time over 55 is ok for 6th

everything below 50 seems very low

Glad you mentioned the drone. I have been "reminding" myself to put it in 6th more the last couple days when up to speed on the highway portion of my commute and I noticed the drone and was hoping it was normal.
For the few responders who say they use 6th in the city at 35-40, I just don't get that; seems way too slow for that gear. I can't imagine you'd have much of any pedal response but I could be wrong.

I don't do it for pedal response. I do it to save a little gas by using the least amount of power with the most amount of gearing advantage. Our cars have enough torque that you could idle in 6th gear and still be going 24 mph.
Obviously you won't have that neck snapping feeling when you mash the throttle, but that is just a wrist flip away in a lower gear.

I use it whenever I feel like getting gas mileage.
