For me 800 now is going save you down the line from having to sell your set up to be able to get more hp, my build started as well 500 rwhp goal at altitude should work for me, so I went with 850 injectors and now I'm having to upgrade to 1k's, and to be honest may need more fuel now, so long story short always build purchase components to more than what your planning and more than likely it will actually save you money in the long run, good luck with your build

I'm still waiting to hear back from ADM but in the meantime I came across this.....
https://west-michigan-automotive-tec...n-complete-kit Any of you have any experience with them? That seems like a pretty good deal including the CAI and 65lb injectors |

LS3's love FI, any type. You're on the right track and for the most part have decent advice here so far. LSA, Maggie, Heartbeat, Whipple - all power and smile makers. Your current fueling will get you 600-650whp if the rest is setup right. If you're looking for stoplight-to-stoplight thrill, a centri or turbo(s) aren't quite the recipe for you.

I would suggest a procharger but you are concerned with lag. If it is a street car then that shouldn't be a problem. A P1x or even a P1sc can give you the 600rwhp and it wouldn't strain your engine.
It also helps with IAT's when choosing a centri blower vs a Roots or even a PD blower.

I’ve had a Magnuson and currently have a Whipple. Whipple was the better choice.

I’m not sure what price range these kits are that you’re looking at, but I just paid $5000 for the ESS Tuning supercharger (tuner) kit with the Vortech V3si head unit. My car already had a cam and exhaust, and it made some impressive (by my standards) power with their small pulley at 10psi on pump. It actually made 55 more whp than my buddys p1sc Procharged 2015ss with cam and wxhaust AND E85. Same tuner and dyno. His IATs are 20-30 degrees hotter even with the stage 2 intercooler.
Its not instant boost like a PD but it’ll put you back in your seat and pulls hard. Great kit for the price.

OP, I know your pain. I'm struggling myself on which FI route I want to take. There are so many choices with their own pro's and con's. The struggle is real.

For what you are looking for the LSA kit makes all the sense in the world. They won't cost you an arm and a leg, they make great torque, they are very easily upgradable and they will make more power then your stock short block can handle. Our Stage 4 Camaro SS package is exactly what you need. If you are looking to build an absolute monster a Whipple or a turbo kit is a great option. You want a killer street car that doesn't cost a second mortgage? Give us a call....

Oh and does anyone know if you can buy just the ZL1 tube for the CAI intake? Or will I have to buy a whole new CAI and sell my old one? |
