US Sat Nav

Hi All

I’m new to the forum and looking at getting a Camaro and have been gathering information.

I have seen posts where people have not been able to get the Sat Nav working on a US spec car due to the My Link.

Just wondere if anyone has had any success in this, if not what are the options

Thanks
Denis

Smartphone (ie all of them nowadays) and Waze, Co-Pilot, or my preference Google. In my opinion easier to use and just better.
Was driving to Devon from Midlands earlier this year in a new MSport 430i beemer - Sat Nav told us to get off the M5 at Bristol ! Did the same driving back!

There are no maps available for a US import, the only way to have working nav is buy a Euro spec, and there is no way to load UK maps to a US spec vehicle.

Plenty of cheap options available, I use CoPilot on my iPhone, really good and not expensive, has speed camera warnings too, and cam be used all over the world. We use every year in California, saves hiring a nav with a rental car

There is a firm in Sweden that will convert it, you send the HIM and the radio module and they do the rest.
However its about 700 Euros plus post and packing, to me that's just OTT, for that money you could employ a butler to read map directions to you.
