I dont mount mine either, I just pop it on the dash on top of a small no slip pad when needed. I didnt want to mount the big thing anywhere. (Fastrac for CA)

My suction cup holder was holding on good for a couple of weeks and the other day it fell off. Now I can't get it to stick again. I'm going to have to try and clean the windshield and the suction cups and hope it stays again.

I painted mine black and have it mounted in the black. It works fine.

a rubber band wrapped around the sun visor holds the ez-pass just fine. flip it down to use and up when not in use. no crap stuck on my glass, plus that makes it portable if you have more than 1 car.
