Can you go through a car wash or is that a recipe for swirls? Hand wash only?

Secondly, hand wax, orbital or buffer?

Thanks!

PS I've had good luck with turtle Wax Black Box

stay away from Car washes. Check out the detailing section of the Forum for some good advise and helpful threads.

Congrates on the Z

The ZL1 should NOT be put through a car wash at all because of the width of the rear tires. They are too wide to fit in the usual track a lot of car washes use.
You can damage your wheels, and at $1,000 each, .......

I don't use any wax to get a shine. Nor does anyone else.

New to this Forum but a lifetime gear head....I use all the products from Griots Garage and they are top notch...I use their "speed shine" most often for cleaning off bug guts after a drive and dry washing with a micro fiber cloth. I also use their car wash soap and spray on wax before drying when wet washing becomes necessary. Their products are all great and leave your car looking like new. After discovering this stuff I would never touch my car with anything else.
