Is there a recall for this shudder issue?

Technically it’s not a recall because GM will not contact you about the issue and the fix.

Tankman, No there is no safety recall, but as mentioned above there is a TSB. The dealer will replace the fluid (cause of the problem) for free under the 5/60 powertrain warranty.

My car isn't doing it.....can I still get the tranny oil change / flush etc done as a preventative measure?

According to the July TSB update, they will do the flush based on customer complaints. GM does not now require the full diagnostics to prove the shudder is happening.

This was confirmed by a service writer at the dealership I use. I spoke to him about the transmission needing to be warm to exhibit the problem, and that it would be warm when I arrived to drop the car off, and that I was happy to demonstrate the problem to a technician if they wanted me to. I told him that what I did not want was a tech trying to duplicate it later on a cold transmission and saying they could not duplicate the problem. He read a section of the TSB to me and said he reads it that they don't need to confirm, so not to worry about it. I also asked him to check on the p/n of the fluid they were going to use, and he did and when he read it off to me, it was the correct one. Needless to say, this made me happy.

I have a 2019 2SS and I am expieriencing the shutter. They changed the fluid in December and it was good. Now it's back.
I bring it in again tomorrow. Curious to see what they do this time.

A10 has shudder ?
Wow.

After the new fluid change as per the TSB, my only complaint is a slight hesitation when I switch to neutral and back on the A8. Driven about 7000 miles on new fluid.

It starts at 40mph. Gets worse between 58 and 68mph. If I take my foot off the gas it is extremely noticeable.

I don't feel it much in the steering wheel. Mostly in my seat.
I traded in my 2014 STi for this car back in October. Sometimes I wish I didn't make the trade because of this issue.

I had a 17 2SS, the trans was flushed twice, filled with the new fluid, the shudder returned. I traded it in on my ZL1 1LE and dtopped worrying about it. I have had friends that had the trans tune altered by an aftermarket guy and have had no such issues since. Not sure what they did to the tune but these guys swear it fixed the trans.

EDIT: I have never heard of anyone having these issues with an A10, just the A8.
