What gears?

So after doing some research (what i could find) it looks like i can swap my LS2 automatics 2.92 gears by going with an LT carrier and installing a 3.55 set.
Is there anyone making a 3.73 or 3.91 set for the LT automatic carrier?
Really, really want 3.91s.

I don’t believe so. Isn’t Richmond the only company making 3.55s? I’ve seen a lot of complaints that those gears make a lot of noise. I don’t have the LS2 (RS that had 3.27s) but swapped in a 3.91 carriers, axles, and hubs from a 1LE. Absolutely love it and wouldn’t go back. Even with the supercharger that I just added.

Ive heard they were noisy but never any updates on if they grew quieter once they wore in.
My goal of running 3.91s might be dying.

I had both 3.73 and 3.91 in my 2012. The 3.91 felt better! Best bet is to try to find a used 1LE rear. Look on LKQonline.com

The 3.91 would be a good match for the 2013 L99 automatic set up?

I added them prior to my cam and TC upgrade. Definitely worth the upgrade and you'll notice a difference in the get up and go. With a big cam and high stall TC, it's hard to get traction and launch it.

I’ll also vouch for the 3.91s and put in a plug for the member in florida(?) that’s selling the entire 1LE cradle for a smoking price. Axles, better bushings, better suspension parts all in one! If I was to do it all over again, I’d seriously consider replacing the entire cradle. Much less work that swapping diffs, axles, bushings, etc.

Had it replaced with 3.91 this time and fresh set of BMR black bushings again and yet another failure..bushing fell apart a week later with normal driving. Now moved onto another shop and had them do another 3.91 with a Trutrac...This time lasted year and a half then failed, but wasnt the bushings this time, just wasnt shimmed right. Went to yet another shop, had new gears put in again and less than a year if made a lot of noise. This time couldnt even get axles out, they had to be cut to get rear out of car. Finally had bought a 1LE rear and had dealer install it with stock bushing...No noise, ran good, and lasted til i sold the car.

If you can find a 1le rear that should have the stock 3.91 gears, go that route and save yourself the headaches i went thru.
