funny thing about headroom
My Beretta has 37.6 inches and I have plenty room. A G37 I took for a test drive has 37.7 and my head hits the roof. Maybe the Camaro will be ok after all.

Ditto on the G37. I would only buy one without the sunroof. That would add a couple of inches of headroom. Of course, NO dealer stocks them without a sunroof, so it's special order only.
One thing you can't get on the G37 or even the new 370Z: GOBS of instant TORQUE! Woo-Hoo! All research has shown Camaro headroom is ample. |

so are you saying with the sunroof theres less space? Can anybody clarify that. If not in the Camaro in general does a sunroofed car have less headroom?

Yes cars that have a sunroof generally give up an inch or more in the distance between their head and the headliner for the running gear/seals/etc of a sunroof.

Depends on where they measure it from. Some manufacturers I've seen measure from the seat in the lowest position, and some measure from the seat in the highest position.

and in the G37 there's more headroom closer to the windshield, if you have long legs and push the seat back there is less headroom.
I think the Camaro's moonroof opens outward so there will be minimal impact on headroom. |

That's a good point. The Camaro seems to have a pretty flat roof where Z and G cars have sloping roofs. The Camaro's moonroof does open outward, but there will probably still be some headroof lost, especially since you'll lose the reverse moonroof.

One thing to consider is the sunroof on the G37 slides back and into the headliner like most every other sunroof does. The camaro has that pop up vent a hood look to it and should not require the additional space in the headliner.
