My splitter is rock chipped so badb that I'd like to take it off and repaint it. I'm very curious about how you remove it.
Is it possible to take off just the splitter and and leave the mounting bracket alone? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

If there's interest here on the forum, I'm considering ordering the hardware in large quantities (1000+) to get a discounted price. With those quantities, I could sell each hardware kit for $35 which is cheaper than if i just gave out the part numbers for members to order. PM me if interested. I drilled out the visible rivets. However, some rivets are hidden behind the splitter. For those, I cut them from inside the bumper. Once all were removed, the splitter and mounting brackets slide right off together. PM me if you have specific questions about how to remove your Splitter. The mounting brackets are not expensive, I just got mine today and paid like $110, comes with all OEM rivets and instructions, templates. The trick is the PN changed, ours show as discontinued (2013 1le owners) but you have to order the hot wheels/dusk edition ones. I ll post some pics of em tomorrow and see if the service guys can fix this so it shows it works on 2013 1LEs. However reusing them and already having holes in fascia is awesome, I broke my fascia and brackets during crash.

That's great info. I appreciate you posting it here. $110 for that mounting kit is definitely better than the $180 it costs to buy just the rivets at list cost. Big +1 on re-using the existing holes.
I wonder if a mounting kit like this exists for the 2014-2015 style 1LE Splitter? I'm tempted to drive to my local dealer and buy this mounting kit you posted to compare it to my 2014-2015 brackets and see if it's the same. Last edited by Turbo_J89; 04-05-2019 at 10:13 AM. |

Were you able to determine if there's a kit for 2014-15 models?

I have a large quantity of aluminum and plastic rivets that are nearly identical to OEM. If anyone needs a kit, PM me. I could do $30 shipped. These rivets are $100+ at the Chevy dealer. This kit will include 40 aluminum rivets and 12 plastic rivets (you get extras just in case) Compatible with 2013-2015 1LE Splitters.
I have personally installed the hardware on my 2015 1LE and it's every bit as good as the OEM. Another member installed the hardware on a 2013 1LE and gave a positive review. I have enough for 15 kits. Once i run out, I may or may not place another large quantity order and sell them here at a discounted price. |

My original 1LE Splitter. I removed, repaired, and re-installed.
If you are ordering a new 1LE Splitter for a 2014-2015, the part number is 22997432. List price $700. I ordered this at my local Chevy dealer so i can share what's in that kit. The one i ordered showed up damaged so I returned it. 1LE Splitter (primered grey - paint to match) 4 plastic mounting brackets Bag of aluminum & plastic rivets One page paper instructing the dealer parts counter where they can print out the install instructions. While you have no splitter on your 2013 bumper it would be nice if you had access to a 2014-2015 Z/28 splitter to see how much different the fit up is. Especially if it's close enough it could be massaged to work and then it would hopefully make fitting the Z/28 fender flares on easier. I have a set of Z/28 fender flares I borrowed just to get an idea of how they lay on my car and how difficult it would be to make them work. It seems they are very close. Since they are made to work with the Z/28 front splitter it would be nice to know how close of a fit the Z/28 splitter would be on a 2013 front bumper to make the entire retro fit possibly a little easier.

Man I wish I could get my hands on one but the z/28 also uses metal brackets from bumper beam to the splitter so stuff is crazy heavy. Translates downforce right into body.
But man the font wheel sticking out is killing me, I even thought of just having somebody roll the fenders for me but the tire/fender gap will just get worst. Gona have to figure something out.
