Who do you think would win? My buddy has a 66 GTO with a 502 big block in it. It has 3.73 gears no long tube headers and i think it is carburated, not sure though. I have a 2010 SS with cold air intake and axle back exhaust. This will be a 1/4 mile run.

I guessed i would. I have been in his car and it feels faster than mine but it could just be because his has more torq.

What does he have for tires? He has you way out-powered, but can he get it to the ground?

I think he has Nitto Nt 555, and that is the thing is, he burns out real easily.

I am hoping when I do my long tubes headers, cam, and tune I should be able to beat him without a doubt.

I doubt it, notto be rude or anything but thats a big engine, and his car is probably lighter. I use to have a 74 vette(I should have never sold it) It had a 454, turbo 400 auto trans/shift kit(3 speed) and stock gears. All it had was a cam and headers. I know it would eat my new SS. The SS does not pull anywhere as hard as that old vette. Man I miss that car

4 speed car or automatic?

If he can hook up, your toast. if he does a 1/8th mile burn out. You may have a chance.

Stock Old muscle is cool but they are not as fast as people think. But it is a 502 Thats has to 500+ HP My money would be on him.

That GTO is a hell of a lot lighter than a 5th gen Camaro. I know they look big and heavy, but it's all pretty open space in them.
