Thank you for the information

Requires a tune and not the easiest of installs but not a bad choice..

It doesn't necceserally need a tune.
When I installed mine, I ran for a couple months without a tune, and everything worked great! I just waited to get tuned when I installed my headers.
But installation wise, not the easiest, but not that difficult.

Are they the ones that claim 40RWHP with a tune?

Not exactly 40. They claim 30hp with tune, and 15hp without.
It is a little pricey, but I say it's worth the money.

....and thus heat soak data may not be happening, but real world heat soak is. I don't know man, but I must say my personal preference is to eliminate the length of tube from filter to engine, a nice straight route. Some of the self proclaimed CAI's may look really cool from an artistic point of view, nice and shiny with matched paint and clever see through boxes...etc, but in the end it's the volume of air and it's real world temps that sway me. Again, at the end of the day it's personal preference.

Main reason our Intake works so well:

GM GROSSLY OVER COMPENSATES THE TIMING REDUCTION WITH AIR INTAKE TEMPS AND ENGINE TEMPS!!!

If you insulate the tube then there is no heat soak.

You have to have a cold air intake with a lid on the box, there is no getting around that. ADM or CAI.

At wideopen throttle the air is moving so fast it has little time to bond with the heat that is on the surface of the pipe...Right.Less friction means less heat conductivity.

Also how many people race sitting still?

Here is a video of how fast our temps come down -

The ADM intake was part of our ADM power upgrade... I am happy with it...

If you’re driving around for a while and then do some racing the heat from the tube has a big effect. After I insulated the tube I had the same punch as when the engine first warms up then you get on it.

All I’m saying is try insulating the tube. The stuff I used was called Armaflex, there is no seam or wrapping you just slip it on over the tube. We use it where I work on our pipes. I’m getting my car tuned Monday and the guy who is doing the tune suggested that I insulate the tube and I glad he did.

I have driven around plenty, then done some racing, I disagree that the heat from the tube "has a big effect".....
