What makes you think the first run of ZL1's have completed QC?

GMConnects just gave me an update: "01/30/2012 - (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by truck, rail or transfer to vendor." The Q\A hold was short on the first run of ZL1's manufactured last week. So far, so good on the build process and quality inspection too. Vendor reported " Your vehicle was sprayed through the paint shop on Thursday night. One time through no repairs." Excellent. I plan to track the railcar from Oshawa, ON to Louisiana. After 3 years of patience and 1 year of hard , hard dealer work, looks like the light at the end of the tunnel is near!!

Awesome Drake, but what is your status 2030, 2000, 3000, 3300 or 3400? I thought you were still waiting to go to 2000 this week? Did your dealer tell you when he thought it would be built.... thus the 1/27 or do you have an actual TPW? I was not aware many or any of us have an actual TPW.

The message from GMConnects states that the car is currently bayed. Yes, usually a car with this status would be awaiting shipment but like every new model, there will be unusual swings in the codes and the process. As Larry from GMConnects and others have stated, expect the QC process to be weeks, not days. I hope you all get your vehicles sooner but I don't believe the QC process has been completed for number "00004".

yea because my dealer called and said the same thing that it was going to take awile and then i seen this... just trying to bring some clarity thanks again man

Drake, your Dealer is jerking you around again. GMConnects has you at 2030 like you said last week, hoping your allocation would get picked up this week and putting you at 2000. Ask them how you have a TPW if the car has not yet been applied to an allocation. I hate to think you would ever get screwed over.

i got picked up thursday and placed thursday but changed it on saturday because of the black hood constraint... so idk thats what he said.. and when i questioned it he said he knows more about the car buisness then me :/

my only thing is why would he just randomly say it.. i mean its not like i asked him when it will be built he just flat out told me... i was picked up and my TPW is the last week of february

Drake, I am the only one I knew of to receive a TPW for a Zl1. After I posted here about it, the TPW disappeare. I still have the original that had a TPW, but it has definately been removed since. Now look at the thread in the ordering section that Becky started for ZL1 order 3000 or better. Not one TPW has been announced. I really think you do know more than your dealer. I hope this Nimrod gets it straight for you.

Hello, I'm new to the forum and currently at the 3000 stage like many others. I'm tracking my Zl1 at GMConnect, but I don't see a TPW there. Where does one get this information? Thanks in advance.
