Well, I will congratulate you on your purchase. I haven't personally driven a Genesis Coupe and the only place I see them regularly is on the The Price is Right.

Don't know about markup, but if you couldn't afford the Camaro SS, you couldn't afford the 370Z some were suggesting either as it costs more than my SS. I sold my 2007 350Z waiting for my Camaro to be built.

Sorry you couldn't get into a Camaro right now, but hope to see you in a couple years wearing your "permagrin"... Best Wishes..

I also have one and it's a very nice car that definitely feels well-built. Interior is very nice also. However, I only have the 2.0T as we got it more for my fiancé.

You were out of work for 5 months last year. Most likely that was because of the loss of jobs in your local economy due to jobs being outsourced over seas.

You live down the road from Oshawa, St Catherines, and several other large auto manufacturing facilties..... and you buy a car made in Korea.

As I said, with all due respect, but is it just me, or does anyone else see something really wrong with this picture?

With all do respect(that's what you say when you want to rip someone a new one ,but still want to look like a nice guy), there are also a lot of americans out of work that use to make products that are now built in china. Look around your house (including your camaro) and see just how much stuff you own from over seas.

I say congrats on the car to the op. If that's the hot rod you can afford and you like, then don't listen to any of these knot heads. Just enjoy it.

So ,permagrin is only reserved for people that own camaros. That' kind of snobby. Who's to say he doesn't have it with the car he bought.

Not a fan of the Genesis. I have driven both the 2.0T and the 3.8. Neither did anything for me. Just my O.

What is important is that you are happy. Grats and here is to many a happy car owner.

The Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track (what the OP has) is 30K, the 370Z starts at 30K. Yeah if you get the top of the line model with options and stuff it reaches 40K.

Nothing wrong with a Hyundai Genesis. I'd take one over a V6 Camaro or V6 Mustang without hesitation. Anyone who claims they will never own a Genesis because it's a "Hyundai" or "South Korean" is ignorant and misinformed.
