There's not much incentive for GM to create an upgrade kit. They want to sell new cars. There's not much money in it for them to create a ~$2k upgrade package to serve only 3 model years. They would much rather these people trade-in for a new car.

This website sells brand new upgrade OEM kits that come preprogrammed and with all parts needed for about $1800.

They even have used kits starting as low as $1500

Linked many times in this thread.

Not one person has stated they have purchased their kit. Non-Nav I believe is $1800 from them.

Out of curiosity can I power up the unit without it being in a car even if it just goes to a chev logo screen?

I know aftermarket units can be powered without being in the car but these sound like they need to be.

About the link above that keeps reappearing It's too bad we can't put a disclaimer that automatically posts to the last response in the thread so it doesn't keep resurfacing.

No. To power up a MyLink it needs a data connection to a CANbus to tell it to turn on.

So my nav unit that i got has a part #23182551
I didn't see that part listed, it is listed as F-RADIO.
yours nav 22992934 = F-CONTROL, non-nav 22965237 = DASH CONTROL UNIT
Do you think there will be a issue?

I was looking to start getting the parts
So from what is looks like I may lose my onstar doing this upgrade (safe & sound)
I am not sure what part i will still need this is my list so far

Onstar part #22903686
Antenna(nav/sunroof) #22739134
Splitter #20960972
harness #20016940
DIGITAL RDO&VEH LOC ANT COAX #13581173
COMN INTERFACE MDL COAX #13581174
dose this look right?
btw what is the part number for the backup cam that will work with this.

You may be able to. I cant remember on the Camaro application specifically but on most my link applications you can bypass the wakeup by simply pressing the power button on the unit with battery power applied.

I would do this on a bench though definitely, there are considerable changes in the data frames the radio uses between 2010 and 2013 this is part of what our programming corrects (in addition to unlocking features in motion, setting it up for the differences in audio etc). There was even a lockup issue that had a PI on it due partially to this and its very easy to lockup the radio in certain instances that requires a reflash to unlock.

That is for cars that have the plug in the rear of the bumper, in 2010 no car came with that so you need to use a flat camera

Guys, I don't know why make this more hard, if the car doesn't have the harness you can make a new one with the same characteristics. if you can't find the connector you always can use another, any delphi 150 sealed series with the same positions can be used for this just change the OEM camera connector
