Interesting enough I seen a 2012 45th Anniversery w/ 30k miles for only $25,000. I couldn't believe it. Wish I seen that a few months back.

I traded in my 2012 ss/rs 45th on a 13zl1. I got $33500 on trade with bolt ons and the car had a little over 6k miles.

Wow, 33,500? What did the ZL1 end up costing then? That seems high. A dealer only wanted to give me 30k on a fully loaded 13 2ss/rs with 4k miles. Kbb puts mine at 31500, but 33500 is quite nice.

Actually it's not even an special paint job...it's special vinyl stripes, some different wheels, and some extra stitching on the seats.

Sounds like the bank was telling you loan value. I'm sure you could sell it for more than that as a private party.

Why the f do you care what the bank thinks the car is worth?

What a bank says its worth only applies to financing which is completely different than actual value.

Trade ins do not correlate with actual resale value. That 33,500 was just part of a packaged agreement. No way that same dealer would have paid you 33,500 for that car if they were flat buying it.

I got the 13ZL1 with 16K miles on it for $49k. I was on vacation when I stopped by OBX chevy in North Carolina. They found the car in Louisiana and we haggled about a price for a while. They flew a guy from NC to Louisiana to get the car, and drove it back to NC. They then put new tires on it, oil change, changed diff fluid, complete detail, and one wheel had a little curb rash so they ordered me a new wheel for it. I was in my g/f's car so I didn't even have my trade in with me. They then drove the ZL1 from NC to my house in WV and picked up my trade in and filled it up with fuel. All of this was at no extra charge. I think it was a pretty good deal.

It all depends on the area you're buying from. If high performance cars are being bought left and right and they're a hot item. They will usually raise the price to get whatever they can get out of them. Just like my 2010 2SS was priced at $28,000 because of the market for a performance V8 sports car. It was one of the more reasonably priced Camaros too within the driving distance I was willing to go. Of course, I only financed $18,000.

Dealer will rape you on a trade-in of a 45th SS no matter what... I was curious back in Sept. and got a t/in appraisal for mine with 20k miles on it. Dealer said 25k but will add another 5 Benjamins max if I'm ready to commit. Then they'll list it for 30k retail. Yeah... like I said they'll b_ttf_ck you!

Yeah, I thought so. The car has a sunroof and polished wheels as well. I miss my bolt on 45th, but it doesn't compare to the zl1
