Venting blow off valve to atmosphere

So installing me ESS system and curious if i can just allow the blow off valve to vent to the atmosphere instead of routing back into the suction side?

Yes, I just put a rubber cap with a hose clamp on the intake filter piping. It will only see vacuum.

If you decide to turn that sucker up to the point where you need more surge valve, you can get one of these...

http://www.siliconeintakes.com/bov/t...waAk1UEALw_wcB

and connect a Tial 50mm Surge valve to it. (2 psi spring)

I cut out the section of 3 inch silicon hose where the Vortech bypass valve goes, and t bolt clamped this in place. Then I also welded another 50mm onto the intercooler.
[credit goes to Big Biscuits for that idea]

Good luck man. I'm really excited to see the G2. I think its gonna be a torquey SOB with your current H/C combo.

Thank you. I ordered the race vortech blow off valve. Got great reviews and seem to be much more efficient at getting pressure out. Expensive little bugger. I started with the V3 head unit and will jump to the G4X when I get comfortable. Will see how far it will go until things break. May be there already lol

Nice, they didn't have that option when I bought mine.

Oh my bad on the blower. Thought I read somewhere you went G2. G4 bracket isn't ready for the camaro yet, but it should be soon. G3X is a nice fit for a 376.

I could see your combo making 700+ with the V3. Good luck.

I run two on my YSi set up. A tial 50mm set at 2psi and a vortech race valve. I loved the sound of them opening between shifts.
