Transmission fluid drenched

On the passenger side there is transmission fluid covering the bottom from the frame and from the backside, can anyone tell me if this was from the over fill drain line that hangs to the side that sprayed all of it out towards the back ? I turn the car on and I don't see it leaking anywhere what could it have been?

This trans has been out of the car and whoever did it didn’t connect the vent line properly. And I bet it was overfilled! That check valve in the last picture should be connected to another hose that goes up to the backside of the engine

My advice, get that hose connected properly then warm the engine to operating temperature. That plug on the pan isn’t a drain plug, it’s how you set the fluid level. Once hot, remove the plug and wait for the fluid to stop coming out. Now your trans is at the proper level. Put the plug back in and you should be good

It's a remanufactured transmission was put in a couple months ago and where would I find this other line that's connects to that hose hanging down from in back of the engine?

Without seeing the car I’m thinking #3 is what’s hanging on the last pic you sent. If so it should be routed up towards the back of the engine. Even Without anything connected to the vent on the trans if the fluid level is filled correctly and there is nothing slipping in the trans or no condition that’s causing it to overheat no fluid should come from the vent.

Found this piece that goes into the transmission disconnected I'm just trying to find the hole that it goes into it blind

That's the vent tube. It's pressed into a hole on the top of the transmission near where the bell housing bolts to the trans case. You probably don't have enough room to reinstall that with the trans in the car. The illustration you posted shows where it goes in the trans

You were right about it being overfilled but the only thing I can think of when it started pouring out like that the temperature was at 183 deg in stop and go traffic

That looks like coolant. I would check the heater hose fittings just above on the firewall. The quick connect fittings are notorious for leaking!

Looks like transmission fluid (reddish color). The orange looks like paint marker as someone checked bolts.

183 is not bad, that's kind of normal for a stock tranny/converter.

Your coolant temp and trans temp should closely mirror each other. Think about it....they're both cooled in the same radiator!

Stock yes, on mine with the big converter and an aftermarket tranny cooler, cruising, my trans runs cooler than the engine coolant does, about 158-160 except when I'm running her hard.
