Great Write-up!

What are the best screw to use?

Self taping screws are included in the box. Reason why the holes are not pre drilled is that they wanted to make sure the holes line up 100%.

Yep I found the screws and I agree about the holes not having studs.

what are your thoughts now that you have it installed? as good as you hoped for? I'm just gonna spray mine flat or satin black . BTW, you have the tell tale signs of a trunk lid repaint in your future. stupid stock spoilers.

Looks good, is it going green or black?

Same here, wish I would've noticed that before. I just measured and it'll be close, the top of the badge looks like it's at 1 1/2". Even if it does clear it, it'll look weird with no gap up top IMO. I'll probably try to removed it and re-apply in centered in the gap left behind.

I like it. I just hope slamming the trunk doesn't weaken it or ding the paint but I don't think it will be an issue. I rarely slam my trunk anyway.

Funny you mention it, the car is going to the dealer next week to have the trunk lid repainted.

One of the body shops I use it trying to talk me into semi-flat black for the spoiler to match the factory ralley stripes. I'm damn tempted.

That is a good idea. Please post pics if/when you are successful. I would definitely need to see how the badge re-location turns out.

I also have bumper to bumper vinyl stripes and am evaluating if I can match up my current vinyl to this spoiler considering that there is the cutaway portion in the middle. Need to talk to my vinyl guy first before I order.

My wife tells me that my spoiler just arrived. It's supposed to rain off and on all weekend though, so I don't know if I'll have a good chance to test fit it.

I'm just going to remove the SS badge back there, the Corsa will tell everyone what it is.

Will do, it just arrived today. I don't have time to test fit today, but will try tomorrow.

What would the problem be with the notch? If you're worried about the vinyl not conforming evenly then you have nothing to worry about if it's any decent brand of automotive grade vinyl, as it's designed to stretch for that reason, at least that much.
Otherwise, I'm curious as to what you mean.

ok, so do we drill all the way threw the metal plate with the 1/4" drill bit? doesnt seem like a good idea as the screws are smaller than the drill bit.

I received an email stating that the instructions had an error on it and should be 1/16" drill bit.

Yes pre drill all the way through the metal plate.

Wow, I hope no one drilled the holes before looking at the screws.

To Unrestricted Motorsports: The packaging needs a LOT MORE filler. Mine was bouncing around loosely in the box and it punched a hole straight through the box at some point during shipping. On the bright side, it shows that the spoiler really is strong, there was no damage to it.
It almost lost a screw, the 6 were loosely taped together just floating in the box and one was shuffling around inside. If you're interested in pics, I have some.

The spoiler itself seems strong and light, though I haven't weighed it yet.
I didn't have much time today before it got dark but I did get the stock spoiler off and check-fit this one. It fits pretty well as far as I can tell so far (with an LED flashlight).

The SS emblem does 'fit' sort of, but not really. The spoiler rests against it, and tightening the screws will probably pull it in pretty tightly against it. Even if it's okay staying there physically, it looks downright stupid. You easily have enough room to move the emblem down if so desired but you'll have to choose which edge to line it up to. As you can (barely) see, the bottom of the spoiler and bottom of the trunk lip aren't parallel.

Excuse the pics for now, but they're the best I could do quickly in the dark.
