Thumbs up INDY 500 Camaro sells on EBay $55,000

Seems the Indy 500 Camaro like the one we have here at our dealership, is doing well on EBay.

Another just sold on EBay at a $55,000 BUY IT NOW price. A previous listing sold for $48,500.

Looks like owning one of the first 100 Camaro's ever built (Even before Mr. Hendrick's #1 & #2) is paying off for those lucky enough to get one!

Yea it's cheap for the whales. Some places over MSRP is a no brainer. Like Vegas or L.A. NYC.

Some People light cigars with 1000 dollar bills. Sounds like a line from a rap song but it's true.

Hell, that's nothing! You can walk right into Ed Bozarth Chevrolet and ask that much for a bone-stock 2SS/RS with a straight face! That guy got a bargain!

My question would be how did the seller get the car in the first place and how much did he pay for it??? It is definately a bargain for a piece of history that won't be replicated. This isn't a driver... it's a collectable investment.

Especially without a replica offered....and all the track documentation....and MAYBE even a little video of two on the track in front of the actual lighted pacecars:

I'd much rather pay over sticker for this car than some dealers retail stock!

If it's not a driver, then it isn't a car.
You have to drive a car, I don't care if it's a Stutz Bearcat or a VW Bug. Cars are made to be driven, and they deteriorate rapidly unless they're treated as what they are. You don't hang them on the wall and say "gee, that's a nice investment." If they'e an investment, and you have any clue what you're doing, you'll drive them occasionally, or serious collectors will shun you.
