just a question about the stripes,are they vinyl or are they painted ? . just wondering because if they are vinyl i might not get them ,and just go to a body shop and have them painted and then cleared over.none of my F-bodies have ever had stripes on them before,and i never payed close attention.

Most stripes these days are vinyl not painted on. It has also been said most of the stripe kits will be a dealer installed option. I hope the monkeys at our dealership can get them on straight!

no gm set the bar up high for the v6.

stripes would be cool on my 300+ hp camaro

bumblebee, cyber gray no stripes, red with black or white stripes, inferno orange with black stripes, white camaro maybe, if they offered a mustang blue color with white stripes on the camaro, i dont know!!!

I don't think anyone really knows yet, but I sure as hell hope they are painted. Nothing looks worse than some ass peeling off decals...

Well I owned a 1997 30th anniversary Z28 that was arctic white with hugger orange stripes from the factory.

They were decals and yes they did chip and peal. I tried to keep mine in the best shape possible but rocks and other things took their toll over the years.

Being that the 30th and 35th annivarsary stripe packages were all decals I will bet the bank these will be too. The fact that most options will be dealer installed proves that they will be decals. The only question is will the two that are installed factory be paint......I doubt it

I thought there were 2 factory available colors like wite and gray and the other colors were dealer installed options and would come in any of the same colors as the paint choices.

are the dealer installed stripes approved by GM, or are they aftermarket stuff?
