Sounds good and this weather will break, someday. Got to see your car and hear it in person! Oh yeah, I think I'll keep the 2-1/4" intermediate stock pipes and not go 2-1/2".I have everthing else but bigger pipes may get more voooom inside and lose some bottom end and only 1-2 on the top as a gain but who knows I fixed the drone, seems to have been the airaid not sealing all the way even though it looked like it did. Now little drone as before and loud from 2500 rpm on up!!

Hi

Does Magnaflow V8 Cat-Back competition series fit to V6?

Im very interested of Magnaflow Cat-Back part# 16580.
Gives me straight pipes, but also can easily add axle-back mufflers if needed.

Fishtail, Thank you for posting your set-up. After hearing yours I did some research and dropped the hammer on the Street Series Cat back system. I placed the order Friday and received my system yesterday with the discount and the free shipping offer from Jordan at www.magnaflowplus.com.

My wife thought I was crazy, we put our daughter to bed around 9 and I started installing it It took around 3 hours taking my time, being very careful and only using jack stands in my garage. I could not be happier with the sound, much deeper, calm and subdued when you need it to be and like a beast when you lay into it.

Thanks Fishtail and Jordan you guys were a great help

Not with the resonated x pipe that comes with the catback. I did a custom axelback first with 14" mufflers for a deeper sound and they were way to boomy for us and to loud on the freeway. Resonated x went in and boom reduced way down and not much drone on the highway, if any.Very quiet system though and muted in sound on my car at least. Someone with a full catback can help out a bit here.

Its a resonated X pipe to contain the rasp no more so you shouldnt lose hp because Cat back doesnt really add much hp anyway!

No hp loss. Allegedly more bottom to mid range power per MAGNAFLOW, maybe 1-2 on top?

I agree ! I also installed street series cat-back from MagnaFlow and I LOVE IT !!!!!! no raspy sound, just pure deep sound, unlike the flowmasters that in my opinion sound like crap, personally the MagnaFlow cat-back has a much more modern deep done, but if you are into the old school muscle car sound then flowmasters are the way to go , to each their own and lastly, if you got a V6 with ground effects ( which is what I have ) the 4 inch tips will not fit, but thank goodness for that because I hate OVAL tips sticking out of a SQUARE tips diffuser
--------------
I prefer my Flowmaster over MF, as i heard it on my friends '10 Camaro SS; didnt really like it.

FLOWMASTER
