2016 2SS convertible, 13,500miles, had it for about 14 months. No regrets. So fun to drive, comfortable, fast. No issues for us other than some fragile paint in front of the rear tires (protect that somehow!), and the trim on the passenger side top above the window won't always stay snapped perfectly into place, so it's misaligned by 1/8 of an inch.
Outside of that, it's been about flawless. Would do it again, but would look harder for a manual. Not because we've had issues with the AT, just because we both miss driving a manual. This one was an incredible deal, so we settled for the AT. |

I have an 18 A8 SS and it's flawless. The A8 has been slammed pretty hard on this forum, and understandably so. There were production issues early on but they appear to be corrected for the 18s, at least in my case. You could avoid it by getting the M6 but that's a personal preference. I love every bit of mine.

Nothing but love for my 6th gen. Very few issues and minor (bolts for suspension needed tightening, trunk opening not great), but this against great performance and a car that I enjoy driving every chance I can. 9500 miles and counting.

I've had the '17 2SS convertible for almost 17 months. It has 19,600 miles with almost no problems. Guess I got a good build on the A8. We're loving it. Like someone else mentioned, it's fun to pick up my grandson at school (6th grade) and listen to the comments.

Have a clunking sound in the front suspension. Can't find the source. That's annoying...
Other than that I love the car.

We love our Camaro. Best one we have ever owned. besides these issues. we too have had what seems to be the same common problems others have had with there cars like sway bar links loose, tiny fogging issue, couple miner body panel alignment issues. The biggest issue we have currently is the roof panel started to get some waves in the outer sheet metal skin. brought the car to dealer they had to have a representative from GM come look at it. had to leave the car a couple of days because depending on the weather being cold or hot would depend on how many waves were in the roof panel. The final out come is that they want to replace the whole roof skin on the car. We asked how can this happen. The Rep said that the glue that they use when they put these things together must not be holding the skin to the structural beams and that's why we are getting the waves in the roof panel. Hopefully they don't screw up the car cause its a super big job. Does anybody else have this roof issue? we have a sun roof also

I very much like my 2016 SS. I track my car and take it on long road trips, so I cover a pretty broad spectrum. There are just very few cars that you can take on a 3,000 mile, or longer, road trip that delivers comfort and performance at the same time. Add that you can drive it 800 miles to Bowling Green and get up the next day and track it at NCM Raceway, drag race it the following two days and then drive it home and you have a pretty solid package.

I still enjoy mine, I've had it almost a year and put 5400 miles on it. I don't regret the car, it's not really "useful" but I knew that going into plus my daily is a truck anyways. The M6 is a great transmission and it's very fun and engaging to drive. The V8 is great as well, I've gotten quite a few compliments on it and over half of them have asked what motor it has in it, so it's nice to say it's got the 6.2L.
There are times I wish I had the leather seats but the stock 1SS seats aren't bad by any measure, still very comfy. Mine doesn't have MRC and I've never driven one WITH MRC but the ride is very good and smooth even without it. Other than occasionally wanting leather seats, I just wish it was paid off!

It's a good car but make sure you get it with MRC. I had the 2016 2SS without MRC and driving around NJ was so uncomfortable.

mine is not a daily driver, but love the car. mostly used to travel back and forth to houston to see my kiddo's and its so comfortable, good stereo, heated seats (for my back) and you are only a "slight push" away from passing the knuckleheads on the road.
great car!

Haha the 65 has a 355 sbc with a mild cam shorty headers that dump into an x pipe and magnaflows. The trans is a tremec tko600 and the rear end is a 8.5 inch 10 bolt out of a 2nd gen camaro shortened to fit and filled with 3:42 gears and an Eaton posi. I’m actually working on selling it I bought a fixer upper house and don’t have time for 2 projects. That’s also why we want a camaro ss we want a fast fun car that I don’t have to be underneath all the time
