Tried reducing weight any way to help reduce your time? I know it’s a daily but maybe lighter seats and few other things to drop 100lbs or so+

For my 10.90 runs I had all the other seats out and the trunk completely empty, but still have a stock battery.

Did you have the trailing arms and toe rods on before or after you broke your diff and axle?

Before and during lol.

I broke the diff first. Some folks never break them but mine broke the spider gears once I got into the 1.4 60 foot world.

The axle was my fault, I lowered the car a lot and I went out on drag radials. Car wheel hopped bad and I stayed in it.

Just to note, there are folks who have run quicker than me with FBO and also heads and cam, so my times are not the best out there but they are decent and anyone else should do as well as me or better.

John what PSI are you running in the rear tires?

I've found that as long as it will hook, I keep going up.

I was able to run a 7.03 1/8th with a 1.47 60' running 23.5 psi. Cut .07 from previous best.
I'm on stock motor with bolt-on's, 3200 stall, and a 125 shot. ET Street R.
I had never tried running more than 19.
I was always told with nitrous, converter, and gear, I wouldn't hook if I went higher.

The prep looks good on the videos, with a nice groove as well. I'm sure you could air up a few psi. and cut at least a 1/2 tenth if not more.

The front skinnies as well, run near max. psi they will take.

My 10 second passes, I was on Hoosier 28x17 slicks. I think I had them at 17 psi but it's been a while. Let's say it was at least 17 psi or even higher.

My fronts at that time were 215 all season radials on 17x7 RS wheels, not much of a weight drop over stock but noticeably skinnier than the stock 245s.

What tires are you running Joe?

I'm running the MT ET Street R 305/45 18".
I tried the 17", but the best it would do is 7.3 in good air, and good prep. -50 ft is the best DA I can run in where I'm at.
The 1" bigger tire just hooks much better.
Shocking, because most run better on a smaller tire. Wasn't the case for me.
A oldtimer at the track I go to, told me to air them up until I couldn't hook.
I thought he was crazy because I'd always heard not to, but the truth is the more PSI you can run, the better your ET will be.
19 was most I'd ever even tried. 7.10
23.5 similar prep/DA, 7.03.
I was shocked to say the least.

The skinnies, I initially got the MH Racemasters. Huge mistake. They only hold max 45 psi. Lots of tire bulge.
Now run MT ET fronts, can air up to 70 psi, no more bulge.
These do wear fast when driven to the track.
MT released an ET R for the front, but they only handle 50 psi., so won't be trying those out.
Skinnies for 5th gens need lots of PSI, as the front of the 5th gen is quite heavy.
Running them where they bulge provides no gain for me vs. leaving stock 20" on.
Car ran exact same times. Gained close to a tenth with ET fronts @ 70 psi.

Bias fronts are nice because of the weight reduction, rolling resistance etc. Airing up those front to 70 psi is nice, lots less rolling resistance.

I later put my car on 15s, and my car so far has not loved DRs in back, could be my shock settings but I didn't hook great on the Pros. I have to say lol I like slicks more for this car.

I'd love to run slicks, but since I drive to the strip, can't run them.
Still searching for that elusive 6.99, but honestly, I'd rather cut a perfect light.. 003 is best so far.
I'd try adding air to your slicks, a pound at a time, until it won't hook. You'll run faster.
