Quick Wash/Shine

I'm hearing all the Zaino, leafblower, flamethrower stories, but just want to get my car clean quick on the fly... I just took delivery of my Camaro, and I'm headed outta town for my homecoming this weekend. So I'm not gonna have a hell of a lot of time down there to do a full detail like I would like to do, but what could I do in about a 30-45 minute window that would leave her swirl-free and scratch free and shiny? This is would be her 1st wash since delivery, so I don't wanna jack it up.

Oh, and I got a bunch of Sham-wows... Is that a no-no?

Well, personally, I'd ditch the Sham-wows.

For the time being, I'd look at getting an over the counter spray detailer, ie; Meguires or Mothers. These won't compensate for a good wax/polish job, but it'll offer some protection until you're ready to give the car a proper detailing.

I'd recommend a good car wash, a sheepskin wash mitt, and 100% cotton towels for drying, etc..
