No regrets!

I just cleaned my car tonight and noticed another spot in the middle of the hood. SO FRUSTRATING!!

Thoughts?
Not me - love my black 2SS - it's a little work keeping it clean, but is so worth it, especially with the clear coating available now days. I had a black 1988 Chev truck and every time I waxed it, a layer of paint would come off on my rag. Paint has come a long way since that truck and I'm lovin' it.

Black is NOT a color, it is a commitment.

No...I dont regret it. IMO black is the color for this car. Let me add that
this is a weekend car for me, it stays in the garage Mon-Fri so keeping
it clean is not that big a deal. Now if I was buying this car for my dd I
would have probably got another color.

I do not regret it at all. It looks amazing clean. It does get dirty easy but washing is fun when the final result looks so good. I drove mine yesterday and had people standing around it everywhere I went.

No regrets!!! Have had black cars for about 17 years, but this one is the first that I have made the commitment to wash it by hand always and never go to an automated wash (with the swirly things), and do it myself. From what I read though it looks like one of the touchless spray washes might be good in a pinch. It just looks awesome when it is all spiffed up, can't beat it!!! Dust gets on it quick, but as long as it is clean, a California Duster and then some Z6 or Z8 to touch up and it is like it was just washed all over again.

So too bad it can't just rain on our grass, cause as a DD I for one cannot avoid the rain and such. Have a mark where I got bird poo on it and didn't get it off "immediately". It was only there for about 4 hours as I was away from home and it was in the driveway when it happened. As soon as I got home I removed it, but the damage was done. Hot Sunny day in Houston, bummer...

I ordered black but changed it to red. I live in a very dusty desert and nothing ticks me off more than a short-lived clean car. If I lived somewhere with more vegetation I'd definetly get one.

this is the most true statement i've ever heard of cars, If you dont love your car and are not willing to dedicate the same amount of time cleaning and caring for your paint as you are driving then black isnt for you, at least if you want in to look like new in 5 years, i personally see it as protecting my investment and black is just bad

My current Z28 will be my last black car. Although I still like dark colors better, and may get a dark color on my next car, I'm staying away from black.

No regrets, I love mine. If your anal don't get a black car. I don't freak out when I see a little dust.

I had a black truck and when I got ready to trade it in I swore I would never have another black car or truck.
