Are these cars going to be pre production. I think a post I read here said that the production cars wouldn't start until March16th(after the race)

Actually.......they used an Impala SS as a pace car at several races. Looked really good too!!!!!! Can't find any pics for some reason.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is the Dale Jr car as the pace car with a little extra badging on it...

i only watch big nascar races, but i hope they wind up using the 'maro in nascar a couple years down the road as a racecar. cuz i'm not much of a fan of the impala. [though in the end it's just a name sticker on the car]

actually that is how most pace cars are done in nascar they are just loaner cars that are returned after their use and sold through a dealer...
It is part of the track sponsership deal. which ever manufacturer has the sponsership at that track provides cars and trucks to use during the race weeks and for general track use. later those are returned and sold.
Being the Camaro will not be an actual production car at that time I doubt that It will be sold....It may go on display in the "Daytona Experience"

Yes a friend of mine has one of those Blue Monte's. The Chicago Race I went to in 05 had like 100 Chargers for the event, it was quite a show.
