Pick up phone. Get trucker to show up at closed corvette plant in Bowling Green. Open door. Put CGM paint in truck. Drive to Canada. Drop off Paint. Get beer and hookers at truck stop. Rinse / repete...

Dear Mr M

I apologize that I missed you yesterday while I was in a meeting. Thank you for your $1000 deposit. I also received the questions you had regarding your order which I would like to answer. Your order was the 3rd preliminary order placed to be built. Your preliminary order number is NXXXXC. The pricing on your 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is listed below:

MSRP $33,430.00
$395.00 Cyber Gray Metallic Stripe Package (B7W)
$1200.00 RS Package (WRS)
$35,025.00
$499.00 Dealer Service Fee
$289.00 Paint Sealant
$35,813 + TTL

You should ask for something similar...

The 'paint sealant' will not be going on the car....but if they want to gripe about...I will still pay for it....
The "dealer service fee" and "paint sealant" are just dealer markups over MSRP. So you are paying more than MSRP. I would never put a nickel on a car until I had the $ stuff down in a contract, and I have special ordered my last 3 GM cars. All for less than MSRP.

And this stuff about getting the car for "whatever MSRP is" is a bunch of BS!! What if MSRP went up 30%? C'mon guys!

Paint sealant is a rip off- Watch the movie "fargo" for related dealer BS. And $499.00 for dealer service fee- Thats like paying for their overhead for being in business- Total rip off by low life dealers in my opinion and I've worked for a few.

re: Dealer service fee and paint sealant...

I'll deal with it when the car shows up...if it gets contentious then I'll walk...they'll be able to sell the car.

However...I'm getting a level of service that's abnormal for an average domestic dealership. Life is a negotiation...and in negotiations...timing is everything.

on the pricing sheet dated 10/13 from GM
The MSRP price says "750.00 DFC included" ?!?!

isnt that the delivery fee?

so it should be MSRP plus tax & License only......
I signed a purchase agreement 10/13..
that's the pricing we will go off of, not new pricing...
