GM tune?
I keep reading about warranty issues after a tune is done. Does anyone think that GM will make their own tune? You buy the tune from your dealer just like a GMPP part and they can up the shift points, A/F ratio and all that good stuff, just maybe not to the extreme of aftermarket tunes. Am I just dreaming?

Ford offers it.
'twould be nice if GM did. They offer it for the Solstice GXP and the Sky Redline, IIRC, as part of a package that I hear worked REALLY nice.

So they sell cars that are supposed to be fast, then you have to buy 'fast' at an extra charge? Apparently it's working well for them but GM is better than that. |

I would argue that my fiance's 09 GT runs plenty fast without it. It's a nice bit of kit, any way you slice it.
Don't be slamming no stangs 'ere!

when they see all the money they are losing with all these aftermarket parts .i think they might . i said might . years ago everybody that bought a escalade, hummer put on bigger rims ,dvds, remote starts and so on . and gm said wait a minute we could do that and make all that money to .so it might be possible. if gm did the tune and offered more power without voiding our warranty i bet half of us will be going to the dealer tomorrow .

this makes sense. GM has aftermarket items as is. So they should offer a tune for the Shorty header, CAI, and Exhaust kit.

This would possibly make car companies detune the cars for stock. Like airlines starting to charge for luggage and peanuts.
Yes, but from what I understand it gibes you no more power. Might help us down here in the south a little better. |
