Hey from the panhandle - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Picked up my first Chevy last night and figured I'd make an official intro.

I've had a GM car in the past. In highschool I had an 01 Bonneville SSEi and loved it. But it was love hate. Packed with features and fun to drive (from a naive highschoolers standpoint. I mean you gotta remember this was when mustangs only pushed 300hp and Camaros were still dead.)

But it was built like shit and reliability was terrible. Ever since I've missed the memory seats, HUD, and all those little things GM sprinkles on like mirrors pointing down in reverse and speed compensated volume.

I've stayed away for a long time, mostly as I was politically against the bailouts and the 5th gens didn't do it for me.

But about a year ago I saw a 6th gen in person and it was enough to get me to give the general another shot. So far I've loved the car and it's the nicest thing I've ever owned. Hoping to keep her for a long time, just gotta think of a name!

Nope not me. Pensacola didn't get much. Did do some restoration work in Mexico beach though. It's bad over there.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
