Wow! Where were all you "musclecar" guys with your defenses when the GT500's first went on sale?

If I recall correctly, some of the very same things that are being said about the Camaro today were being said about that car when it was released but, it seemed like only the "Ford fan-boys" had anything to say when similar reasoning was expressed about the Shelby.

Pot, meet kettle.

Really the car is not that big. It's no bigger than an Mustank lol my bad. I love the car, I like the wide ass gives it an more aggresive look.

No that's not true. Most everyone admits the car weighs too much.

I am confused as hell with the "handles like shit crowd"

Doesn't the SS pull around .90? My 30th with the WS6 suspension pulls around .88 or so. Since I have not driven a new Camaro yet I don't know how it feels but I am going to guess that driving down the road ect its much smoother than the WS6.

What am I missing?

I have pushed my car pretty hard through some tight back road turns and it handles just fine. Yeah she's a little fat but I like a girl with some meat on her bones

I really dont see what the big fuss is. Most people are never going to Track it or push it hard enough in the twisties to notice. The people that will be doing those things will be dropping some money for after market suspension set ups. Build a car for the masses and let the others play with it like they want. Whats the big deal?

to the OP,

This is the exact same argument that arose over at the Charger forums many times, I (and many others) got so sick of those that would come around and bitch that their Chargers could'nt take a corner like their (insert generic import here) did without the ass end comming loose. It's a RWD muscle car! If the ass breaks loose, punch the gas and sling that fat baby out there! Now, that said, the Charger was indeed the proud owner of a rotund booty, and if I enjoyed the handling of that barge, I can't wait till I get my hands on my Camaro.
